Motolani's Story

Early Life in Lagos, Nigeria

Hey Beautie,

It's Motolani, your African beauty enthusiast, welcoming you to Tà Beautie!

Growing up in Lagos, Nigeria, I faced challenges with Cerebral Palsy and learning disorders. Despite these challenges, my love for African beauty and my Nigerian heritage never waned.

Moving to the United Kingdom

At the age of nine, I moved to London due to my worsening condition. There, I stayed connected to my heritage through my family and the local expatriate community, who kept me up to date on the latest and greatest in African beauty and wellness.

Moving to the United States

However, when I moved to America to pursue my bachelor's degree in psychology at Syracuse University, staying connected became much harder. I found myself begging anyone visiting to bring these products in their suitcase, yearning for that connection to my Nigerian roots and African heritage.

The Birth of Tà Beautie

For me, the most authentic ways to stay connected were through food, music and the amazing beauty and personal care products made by African entrepreneurs. So, in the fall semester of my junior year at Syracuse University, inspired by the need to stay connected to my roots and share African entrepreneurship with the world, Latita Wellness, otherwise known as Tà Beautie, was born.
